Pakistan’s impressive young pace bowler Shaheen Afridi is still on the road to recovery after suffering a shoulder injury which hampered his performances in the recently concluded Sri Lanka-Pakistan series.

Shaheen Afridi has been having problems with his shoulder for the last few weeks, which led to him missing a crucial match in the recently concluded Sri Lanka-Pakistan one-day series.

Shaheen Afridi has since been taking extra precaution and working hard in the nets in order to get back to full fitness. Pakistan’s fast-bowling coach Azhar Mahmood confirmed that Shaheen is being monitored by a team of experts and is making progress.

Mahmood also added that Shaheen and the team management are doing everything possible to make sure that his condition does not deteriorate further.

The 20-year-old pace bowler has been a great asset for Pakistan and a regular in the national side, impressing many with his pace and accuracy in limited overs and first-class cricket.

Apart from the Sri Lanka-Pakistan series, Shaheen also featured in the T20 series against South Africa in early 2021 and the Asia Cup in 2020.

Pakistan will be hoping that Shaheen can make a full recovery soon in order for him to contribute to the team’s successes in upcoming international matches.
