The USA on Friday introduced that it’s going to present Pakistan $1 million underneath the USAID programme to assist enhance monitoring and fast response to combat COVID-19.
Senior US diplomat Alice Wells made the announcement on the microblogging web site Twitter.
“The US-Pakistan authorities partnership helps battle Covid-19. The US authorities is responding to Covid-19 in Pakistan with preliminary $1 million funding to bolster monitoring and fast response.”
She maintained that Pakistan and the USA are longstanding companions in tackling world well being challenges.
The US diplomat additional said that there are over 100 Pakistani graduates within the lab coaching of Centres for Illness Management and Prevention, investigating coronavirus circumstances in Punjab and Gilgit-Baltistan.

The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Pakistan has crossed 450 after Balochistan, Punjab, Sindh, Gilgit-Baltistan and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa announced an increase in their provincial tallies.
Much of the country is under a lock-down as part of sweeping measures taken to prevent the spread of the virus.
